I wouldn’t say I’m a tech geek or anything but I know a thing or two. Take my boss for instance. He’s a little older, like 46, so he knows a lot less. Compared to him I am a total nerd. It’s really great for me. Sometimes he asks me to complete complex tasks for him that only I know how to do, like create a specialized Pandora playlist of various Christmas artists. Like today. He’s gonna be totally stoked; probably give me a high five and buy me lunch or something. He’ll be all “Oh my god, Dan, did you make this playlist? It looks like it took you hours.” And I’m like “Yeah. I made it happen.” And after he’s done being totally wowed “Hey, Dan. What kind of sushi do you like?” It’ll be great. Tomorrow. If he hears it. He should have heard it this afternoon but I guess there was a problem with the volume. I don’t know. I made it right before lunch. What gives? He will tomorrow, I’m sure. It’ll be loud. He’ll hear it then. He better.
